If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that we can’t predict the future. But we can try our darndest to plan ahead. For the first time, the Old Town Boutique District is taking the lead on the annual Warehouse Sale, tentatively scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 6 at the Westin Alexandria (all hail Queen Elizabeth for leading this massive event for the past 15+ years).
As Shells Karle, owner of Your CBD Store, and I think through how the sale will be different given the coronavirus – we would really appreciate your input.
Part of the thrill of the Warehouse Sale is early-bird shopping to get the best items for the best deals from your favorite local shops. Groups of friends would set their alarm clocks for 6am, and moms would bring their daughters. Elizabeth said in the past more than 800 people would come before 11am. Obviously, even if health guidelines are lessened by February, that is not going to work.
So, we’re looking at timed tickets – much like this summer’s pool reservations. You’d have a set time to shop, and then we would sanitize in between groups. Of course, masks would be required for all.
Here’s where we need your help. Our questions for Stylebook readers:

We look forward to building a fun, safe event for our community and will keep you all updated!
