style speaks is moving
Cathy Starnes, with Style Speaks, here. I have some big news to share. The Starnes family is moving to Grand Rapids, Michigan and Style Speaks is moving with us!
This is bittersweet news to share after almost eleven years living in Northern Virginia and this month marking the seventh anniversary of Style Speaks. I’ve been lucky to work with so many wonderful women and business owners in Alexandria and have loved being part of Alexandria Stylebook over the past year. This area is truly special.
I will continue to be available here in the DC area through the end of May so please be in touch if there’s anything I can help with before I go or just to say goodbye!
Style Speaks will continue on in Grand Rapids so you can remain connected through my monthly newsletter and on Instagram to keep the style tips coming. And, if you happen to know anyone who lives in Grand Rapids, please connect me or invite them to sign up for my newsletter.

Check out Lee & Birch in Grand Rapids. My 2 neices (one a graduate of and one a senior at Grand Valley) have modelled for them at it reminds me of some of our local boutiques.
Good luck to you in Grand Rapids. Its a great community and close to Lake Michigan!

Thanks Karen, how fun! I passed by Lee & Birch a couple of times last time I was in GR and was drawn to check it out but didn’t have the time during that trip. Will look forward to visiting upon our arrival in June.
You will love Grand Rapids and all the wonderful Michiganders. You will be very close to Lake Michigan, and all the lovely sites and sounds of that state…and Chicago is not that far away and is a great town for a long weekend. All the best. I have enjoyed reading your column.
