Street Style: Shelbie Koch

If you haven’t seen Shelbie at TSALT then you’ve most definitely seen her in their fall preview lookbook a few weeks ago. I must say she is such a fantastic model to work with!

Shelbie is a bright spirit with so much energy and love for the fashion industry, but she has a super interesting background. She formerly did visuals for Kate Spade, she has design experience, and she even spent a couple of years on a sail boat! I love when people have cool stories to tell, it just keeps things exciting!

It’s been really fun to watch her acclimate to the store and I’m so excited to watch her grow with TSALT.

How do you spend your time? Traveling, hiking, cooking, dancing, going to museums, playing with my daughter, volleyball, designing, and sewing swimwear and resort wear

Neighborhood: Old Town North

How long have you lived in Alexandria: 2 years. I moved here from Singapore

What is your hometown? I have moved all over the world most of my life. I now consider Alexandria my hometown

What brought you to Alexandria? Family. I wanted my daughter to grow up near her grandparents and aunt/uncle/cousin. They all live in the area

What would surprise people about you? I am an architect who has sailed all over the world on a mega sailing yacht

You’re a superhero: what’s your superpower? Being invisible so I could play jokes on people
