Meet Casey Benson—and as cliché as it may sound—she truly is an incredibly beautiful young lady, both inside and out, with the most breathtaking deep-dimple smile, captivating blue eyes and the purest of hearts. It was many moons ago when I met Casey while standing in line with her mother, Martha Benson, at the Westminster Presbyterian Preschool in Alexandria, waiting in a narrow hallway to pick up our daughters who became immediate best friends from that day forward.
And now, almost 24 years later, Casey is my daughter’s Maid of Honor, and has been with her every step of the way: organizing a bachelorette getaway in Florida, a bridesmaid luncheon in D.C., and accompanying Sarah on a hard hat tour of her wedding venue…all while working at CBRE on the USPS account as a Transaction Manager, where she is responsible for negotiating the business terms and conditions for retail, industrial, and office leases for a high-volume client.
As if Casey didn’t have enough on her plate, she kindly accepted taking time out to do a photo shoot at Coco Blanca. I am so grateful for the special friendship between my daughter and Casey, and what a joy it will be on January 14 to watch Casey standing next to her at the altar, holding Sarah’s bouquet as she tells her man, “I do!”
