Patina Polished Living was born from a desire to share a passion for creating beautiful, yet comfortable homes with well-designed furniture, unique accents and luxury gifts. Patina’s partners, Amanda Mertins and Kimberly Weiler, are an excellent complement to one another. With diverse backgrounds in economics and graphic design, the two are able to use their unique perspectives to design beautifully crafted interiors. The shop, with its home-like atmosphere, works as a wonderful setting for customers to imagine rooms in their own environment.
Every well collected home should include some unique pieces with the patina of age. To this end, Patina strives to find unusual, one-of-a-kind items. This search has taken Amanda and Kimberly up and down the east coast, as well as Europe. The pair is happy to search for special items for customers, and maintains an active “wish list”.
Besides an extensive collection of vintage pieces, Patina has partnered with Wesley Hall for upholstered furniture. Wesley Hall has been a family-owned business for over a quarter of a century and is located in Hickory, NC. This company has been a driving force in the luxury upholstery market. Their success is driven by impeccable quality and tailoring. Patina is pleased to offer their customers an extensive collection of designer fabrics and trims to customize the Wesley Hall furniture. This partnership offers customers the ability to create unique furniture all their own. Patina staff is available to guide their clients in making decisions as varied as the turn of a leg, whether to use a nail head trim, and which fabric might work best in the room. Additionally, the fabrics may be purchased by the yard for personal projects, or fashioned into custom down-filled pillows.
