lululemon’s product rundown
Last month, in our Stylebook debut, we gave Alexandria a brief overview of who we are as a company, as a team, and as individuals. Now that we have exchanged names (and hopefully class schedules!), we want to give you a rundown of our products—they are truly and irrevocably game-changing.
So, let’s start with the basics. lululemon athletica strives to create “components for people to live longer, healthier, fun lives,” by designing technical athletic gear, for both women and men, to enhance their go-to sweaty pursuits.
All of our products have cutting-edge fits, fabric, features, function, and (of course) fun. We could go through the entire alphabet (we even have an a-z product features list). Our product can be broken down into three main categories: high-impact, low-impact, and to-and-from.
Let’s delve a little deeper into high-impact product. This is where we take on our sweatiest and hardest workouts. High-impact activities can cause some wear and tear on most athletic gear, but by making quality and technically progressive product, we aren’t afraid to sweat and put our products to the test. A standout feature of our high-impact gear is our beloved Silverescent technology powered by X-STATIC. Silver is woven into our product, inhibiting the growth of 99.9% of odour-causing bacteria, in a 24-hour window. The silver never washes out or stops working. Silverescent can be seen (not smelled) in Run: Swiftly Tech tops, 105 F Singlets, Metal Vent Tech Tops, Surge Shorts, socks, and men’s boxers. Love sweat, not stink.
Another fabric that is essential to our high-impact gear is Luxtreme. This is a high-performance fabric developed for long runs and high impact workouts. Luxtreme is sweat-wicking, breathable, and designed not to shrink. It also has four-way stretch, serious support, and has a cool, smooth feel, which allows for low-friction performance. Luxtreme can be found in our Run: Inspire Crop II, Run: Pace Tight, Ta Ta Tamer II, Energy Bra, Free to Be Bra, Run: Pace Setter Skirt, Pace Breaker Shorts, Surge Short Lux, etc. This fabric takes your heavy, high-impact workouts to a new extreme.
Now let’s flow into low-impact products that are ideal for yoga, Pilates, and stretching. A must have low-impact fabric is Luon. Luon is our signature technical fabric that is designed to handle serious stretch and sweat. We love Luon and use it in everything we can—tanks, tops, pants, jackets, you name it. Luon is sweat-wicking, four way stretch, cottony soft, breathable, and designed not to shrink. A few of our can’t-live-without Luon products include the Wunder Under Crops/Pants, the Flow Y Bra IV, the Forme Jacket, and our go-to Cool Racer Back Tank. Once you go Luon, you never go back.
We also make yoga essentials that we couldn’t live (or practice) without. We have a variety of yoga mats designed for all kinds of mat work. The Mat is our little black dresses of yoga mats. It has antimicrobial additives preventing mold, bacteria and fungi. The Towel is a super-absorbent microfiber towel, that keeps sweat out of your eyes and your hands on the mat. The Uplifting Yoga Block is our way of having your back. Made of dense foam, it is designed to be your partner in class. We also have a stretching strap that allows you to push it to the limit. The No Limits Stretching Strap is a soft cotton blend strap with easy-to-adjust buckles, accommodating any pose.
Every minute counts when you are on-the-go from dawn until dusk. You don’t have time for wardrobe changes in between your yoga class and your dinner-date, which is where to-and-from products come in. We use a variety of natural blends in these pieces, making layers easy to put on and take off—our product can get pretty creative and interchangeable! Men can do it all, in their Rival Hoodies, made of Stretch French Terry, one of our most comfortable hoodie materials. And ladies, let’s hear it for the Scuba Hoodie, the sweatshirt that never fails in keeping us cozy and warm. With a deep, lined hood, thumbholes and cotton fleece fabric, this sweatshirt helps us battle the elements, anytime, anywhere.

I was just at the store today looking at the fall selection and its hard to believe that such beautifully crafted clothing is made for sweating in! The fact their selection is made for everyday wear is what I like because I’ve never been one to wear workout clothes until I am actually working out.
