House Tour: Sitting Pretty in Palm Beach

One of our latest installations is a client we have in Palm Beach, a lucky client who will be enjoying the warm, mild temps down south this winter. Our objective with this project was to let the views give the greatest “wow” factor, giving Mother Nature the respect she deserves!

img_3517The views stretch across entire main living areas and the master bedroom. With that and the client’s desire to keep things sleek and neutral in mind, we worked to layer the space with tone-on-tone fabrics, used a variety of mixed metals, and chose light fixtures and additional elements made of Lucite, crystal, resin, plaster, and bleached washed wood.

We worked with skilled, artisan craftsmen and artists to commission and create these special elements, each piece finely curated to stand on its own, thus offering a luxe feel to the interior.

The dining table, for example, has an asymmetrical geometric Lucite base with a beautiful gray wash-stained wood top. It is thick and sturdy, yet doesn’t feel heavy. The dining side chairs display champagne-finished metal backs; the faux leather seat cushions keep them sleek and super durable. The host chairs offer a soft, upholstered feel and are on steady casters, allowing them to be easily moved around for additional comfortable seating in the living room area, should the need arise.

The comfortable club chairs floating in front of the cabinet are an ideal spot to take in the amazing views, most especially in the evening, sipping on a glass of wine as the sun spectacularly sets before you.

img_3641There is also a Lucite console that serves double duty as a writing desk. It is visually unobtrusive but fills the space beautifully and with purpose.

The large sectional is a great place to gather and lounge under the whimsical feel of a Hunt Slonem painting flanked by dramatic feather light sconces, which really make the space glow, especially at night.

The art collection ranges from abstract to more structured pieces, which draw you in to observe and marvel at how they were so delicately created.

We made the most of a small guest room space by installing two queen size beds, flanked on all sides by fully articulating light fixtures for ease of use. The headboards are upholstered in a tone-on-tone patterned fabric and were designed with a distinct frame structure to give height, motion, and interest to the space.
