Everyone Loves a Roady
Put away that Red Solo cup… that is not the roady I’m talking about! Recently customers have come into the shop looking for that special something to wear on their upcoming travels… yes, you heard that right… travel! Whoop, whoop! It is so exciting for me to hear our wonderful customers doing something normal after a less-than-normal year. Gone are weeklong trips with shorter trips being the current norm, and customers are vacationing only with their immediate family. Our customers are very mindful of the current Covid safety measures. And now, after a year of going nowhere, flying for a short weekend to Florida or hopping on a Winnebago for a road trip is indeed a special occasion! Easy packing is essential for all trips. However, I can be the worst at this. Truthfully, it all depends on the size of my suitcase. But we all know for weekends and Winnebago traveling less is more!
Warmer climates call for easy dresses. These are all pack and play, throw-on and go, dress up or dress down. Toss in a sneaker for daytime, lux sandals for evening, a denim jacket (our Kut from the Kloth’s slim traditional denim jacket is excellent) for any chill, and a wristlet or crossbody to hold your personals. Overhead bin perfect and Winnebago wonderful.
What is the number one universal item we all pack? A great pair of denim. Truthfully, I made up that poll, it only included one question, and I’m the only one that answered. However, I believe I speak for the majority of us who trust in the use and diversity of a good pair of jeans.
These relaxed cropped jeans are right on trend with a cool, new silhouette. You can wear the Johnny Was and Joie top as separates or unbutton the Johnny Was top and use it as a light cover over a cami or the Joie top. The neutral color of the Joie top and the multi-colored neutrals in the Johnny Was top makes it easy for mixing and matching your travel wear.
We have had a lot of rules to follow this past year so pack that statement piece and wear it proudly. I love this floral coat. The colors are the bomb and the vintage vibe is so modern. Obviously, you can wear each separate, but French tuck the white top, toss on the coat, add a cool white mule or boot, and you belong on the French Rivera – but we all know Florida is just fine! I would also love to mix the subtle tie-dye with the coat. If mixing patterns is not your thing, start slowly with subtle colors and prints… you will surprise yourself!
