Discovering What Makes Us Happy Right Now
Happy almost June y’all! Can you believe it? While we have been quarantining for almost three months (three months!!) we are still hanging in here at Mint Condition. We’ve had to make some minor (major) changes but here we are. We and our amazing staff are working harder than ever to bring you the best and safest shopping experience. After numerous sleepless nights (both from COVID and having a precious newborn in the house) Meg and I decided to pack up the fam and head down to OBX to make the most of this unprecedented time, together.
Right now, we are sitting outside on our deck, Meg is holding Oli, while I type this, we’re drinking Sancerre and feeling very grateful for our community at home. However, it’s always fun to get away and explore the local scene. Did you hear about tropical storm Arthur..well we rode that one out down here and managed to get a little local shopping in at the same time! We discovered that what is making us happy right now are the little things. Candles, fun graphic tees, sweatshirts, cups, beauty and body care products…you get the point!
We got inspired to expand our retail offering at Mint. We will now have an even larger selection of retail must-haves and pick-me-ups to get you through these very uncertain times. Not sure if you have seen our cool, dish washer safe, plastic party cups from local company Haute Papier, you better grab a box before they are gone! The next time you are in, check out our new signature scent cucumber/ mint from small batch company Florida Candle.
So…we are doing our part to keep you happy, now it’s your turn! Have you seen our Instagram lately? We are selling luxury items from David Yurman, Tiffany & Co., Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Hermés as quickly as they come through the door, sometimes even before they get through the door! High-end consignment is sustaining us right now. So, we would love for you all to clean out those jewelry boxes and closets and make an appointment today. We can pick up if you live in ALX, meet you on the curb, or you may come on in with your fabulous mask on (we sell those too, from local designer D’Maran)!
We will get through this together, in the meantime, support your local businesses! Get take-out (and cocktails!) to go, shop on local stores websites and Instagram, consign with us (did we mention that?) and most importantly stay well!
