Handmade Spotlight: Casey Shannon of CS Ceramix
This year has forced us to slow down, and one way this is reflected is in our growing appreciation for handmade and locally made goods. That’s just one reason I’m so happy to showcase local artist Casey Shannon and his handmade pottery.
Handmade Espresso Tumblers
Casey grew up in the area and throws pottery at the Art League. A longtime favorite at Threadleaf, his work has an organic style that balances beauty and heft.
Handmade Berry Bowl
Casey’s pieces are made to be used every day, elevating daily rituals such as rinsing berries or drinking coffee.

Clearly, these pieces are designed to be used and displayed. And now that we’re spending more time at home, it’s particularly nice to have practical, lovely objects to reach for time and again.

At Threadleaf, our goal is to champion small, independent makers because we think they add a special touch to our lives. Casey’s work does just that, bringing a dash of joy to simple acts. And joy is something I think we can all appreciate right now.
