When Joanna and I first started talking about opening Boxwood, the first product we both knew we had to have in the shop was in2green throw blankets. They’ve been at Boxwood since day one and remain a favorite for their modern feel, vibrant colors and designs, and sustainable manufacturing in upstate New York.
The recycled cotton line is made from refiberized t-shirt fabrics that are spun into beautiful cotton-blend yarn. This process helps reduce landfill use and requires no additional cotton dyes or chemicals.
We also love the indoor/outdoor line, which is made from 100 percent recycled polyester. More than 78 post-consumer plastic bottles go into making each fade-resistant, quick-drying throw.
Launched in 2008, in2green is run by a small team of women including co-founder Stefanie Zeldin, a local northern Virginian. As a matter of fact, all of our Salamander Resort diehard fans will recognize the equestrian blankets on the guest beds.
We have a number of the summer throws on sale in the shop now to make way for some new fall and holiday designs. Stop by to see and feel why they are our favorite!
Boxwood was born out of the idea that our homes should be as vibrant and colorful as the people who live in them. So our decorative items and gifts bring a fresh, modern look to Old Town – everything from pillows and table linens to furniture painted with Annie Sloan® Chalk Paint®.
